Schedule/Diary Upgrades

Currently the diary is not as user friendly as the schedule and it makes it difficult to for those who don’t have immediate access to a computer to manage or see who is going where. The diary would be a lot easier to use if it were just a smaller version of the schedule, with some minor tweaks to account for it being on a phone/iPad rather than computer.

The schedule needs a way to select specific dates for a job to recur so that one job that is happening over 2 weeks on 3 different days can stay linked together. A way to specify that you need a job done on Week 1 Monday, Thursday & Week 2 Wednesday to keep it all linked together with the same forms to continue with would be very helpful.

Being able to leave an unassigned job “floating” is another suggestion. We often have jobs where we don’t get confirmation of when we will proceed so we create the job and leave it unassigned, if there was a way to leave it in a “floating” state where the job floats from day to day so that we don’t lose it while viewing the schedule, that would be very handy.

It would also be helpful if we were able to change the times on a child job without altering the parent job, for example, having the parent job set for 7am-5pm with a child job going 11am-2pm and another child job for 2pm-5pm in case the extra hands are only needed for specific times. Often we have 1 person going out to a job who will need an extra set of hand for a couple hours but not the full day, it would be handy to have both people booked to the same job but currently the only way we can do this is by creating 2 separate jobs and linking them with the same address and job number.
