Feature Request

“Would it be possible to look at introducing a feature that either:

Prevents field technicians from exiting a report until all photos have been successfully uploaded, or

Displays a visible status/progress bar confirming that all photos have synced successfully before allowing exit, or

Provides a notification when attempting to exit if some photos haven’t yet uploaded.

Field technician need to complete reports quickly and move on to the next job — these upload or sync issues are hard to monitor manually in the field. A simple visual indicator or safeguard would go a long way toward preventing missing photo uploads and saving time.”

    Thanks for your suggestion and great news: part of this functionality is already available in the Formitize app!

    As field technicians complete their reports, a live upload progress indicator appears in the bottom left corner of the screen, providing real-time visibility on the status of photo and media uploads. This helps users monitor syncing as they go, without needing to manually check.

    At this stage, the app does not prevent exit if uploads are still in progress, but the visual indicator is designed to help reduce the risk of reports being submitted before all media is synced.

    Your suggestion to add an exit safeguard or confirmation prompt is a great idea and would be a valuable enhancement. We'll pass this along to the product team for consideration as a potential future improvement.
